Procedura za dobivanje vize je slijedeća:


javiti se u Zagrebu u veleposlanstvo države za koju se podnosi zahtjev a gdje se dobiju sve potrebne informacije o postupku zahtjeva za dobivanje vize, uključivši i IOM-ov kontakt broj u vezi dogovora za liječnički pregled .
IOM u toj proceduri obavlja isključivo obvezne medicinske preglede.
Što se tiče organizacije puta, IOM Zagreb iz tehničkih razloga trenutno ne pruža takvu vrstu usluga.

The procedure for applying for visa is as follows:

Kindly apply at the Embassy in Zagreb for the country you are applying for. The Embassy will furnish you with all the necessary information that you need, including IOM contact number for organizing a medical examination. IOM only provides medical examinations which are one of the categories required for the obtaining of a visa.
As for the organization of the air tickets, due to technical reasons IOM currently does not provide any assistance regarding this issue.

The international conference on “Immigration Policy as a sustainable factor of economic growth in Croatia”, organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, was held on 19 and 20 June 2008, at the Hypo Centar (Slavonska Avenija 6) in Zagreb. Following the global trend, Croatia presently witnesses an increasingly evident deficit of qualified and skilled workforce, who are the backbone of Croatia’s economic development. Croatian and foreign professionals form countries of the region took the opportunity to expose and exchange opinions and positions on immigration issues and demographic changes, current situation in the labour market, assessment of future needs of the business sector and potential solutions.

Workshop: “Protecting and supporting minors victims of trafficking and unaccompanied minors”

Zagreb, 03.07.2008

IOM Croatia organized in cooperation with the French Embassy in Croatia an international workshop on “Protecting and supporting minors victims of trafficking and unaccompanied minors”, at IOM Zagreb, on 2 July 2008. The workshop was part of a three days visit of a French delegation, Mrs. Marie-Anne BAULON, Mrs Géraldine THOMAS-CHOUIN and Mr. Benoit AUZOU, experts in issues of minors victims of trafficking and minors authors of violence, with the purpose to exchange experiences and discuss problems and challenges in Croatia facing this still unresolved topic. National participants were representatives of Croatian authorities, the Ministry of Interior, the State Attorney’s Office, responsible institutions in the framework of social welfare (Red Cross, Centre for Social Policy Initiatives (CSPI), and NGOs (CLC – Croatian Law Center, Ženska Soba, Organization for the Integration and Prosperity) and International Organizations (IOM, UNHCR, UNICEF) which are working successfully on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings in the Republic of Croatia.
